UX Research

Without understanding users’ real needs, there can be no successful digital product. Using our research methods, we uncover motivations, habits, and pain points so that data-driven decisions can guide development.

User Journey Map

The User Journey Map visually illustrates how a user interacts with a product or service, from the first point of contact through to full usage. This method helps identify touchpoints, positive and negative experiences, as well as user motivations and expectations. This holistic view highlights critical moments where the user experience can be improved. The Journey Map not only supports development but also enables better alignment between business goals and user needs.

Analytical analysis

Analytics tools provide an objective, data-driven view of how users behave within a digital product. For example, we examine click paths, the conversion funnel, exit points, and usage patterns. The information gained in this way reveals which features work well and where users get stuck. This helps us make informed decisions about development priorities and accurately measure the impact of implemented changes.

Desk research

During desk research, we rely on existing data, studies, and industry analyses to lay the groundwork for our research. This background research helps uncover market trends, competitors’ solutions, and general patterns of user behavior. The method is cost-effective and provides quick insights, thus offering a solid foundation for planning primary research. Desk research is particularly useful when preparing to enter a new market or service area.

Mystery shopping / Shadowing

The purpose of mystery shopping and shadowing is to directly observe the actual user experience. The researcher participates in the process as a participant or an observer, thereby gaining an authentic understanding of how users perceive and use the service. This makes it possible to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the customer experience in an everyday setting. This method is particularly useful when it is important to understand real-world interactions and behavioral patterns.

In-depth interviews

During in-depth interviews, we explore users’ motivations, problems, and expectations through direct conversation. Individual interviews allow us to gather more detailed and personal information that is difficult to obtain through other methods. The researcher guides the conversation with questions but also allows room for spontaneous thoughts and feelings. The insights gained in this way help foster empathy and understand genuine user needs.

Usability test

During a usability test, users perform real-world tasks within a product or prototype while we observe their interactions. This helps identify usability issues, obstacles, and misunderstandings. The strength of this method is that it provides concrete and immediately actionable feedback on the user experience. Usability tests can be conducted in a laboratory setting, remotely online, or even in the field.

Quantitative methods

Quantitative research relies on large samples and quantifiable data. Typical tools include questionnaires, online surveys, and statistical analyses, which enable an understanding of general patterns in user behavior. Quantitative data complements qualitative research well, as it provides numerical evidence of the frequency of observed problems. In this way, it creates a solid foundation for strategic decisions and for determining product development directions.

Focus group

In focus group research, we engage small groups of users in moderated discussions. Participants share their experiences, opinions, and ideas, allowing us to quickly gain multiple perspectives on a given topic. Group dynamics often yield new insights, as participants inspire one another. This method is an effective tool for testing new concepts, evaluating communication messages, or gaining a deeper understanding of user attitudes.
